The online webinar will showcase successful local urban resilience programmes on cross-cutting themes such as disaster preparedness, emergency management, and long-term post-disaster recovery. It will also share lessons and inform decision-makers and practitioners on common success factors towards understanding and building capacities for urban resilience for cities in the Asia-Pacific.

The first session will feature best practices on climate resilience and flood mitigation from our event partners in China. For Session 2, CityNet partners Yonsei University and Korea Associates Business Consultancy will report the updates on their ongoing development of resilience tools that aim to help enhance urban resilience processes in cities. Moreover, Session 3 will feature practitioners’ experiences from Chinese, Japanese, and Korean cities.

The webinar is open to city officials and urban multi-stakeholders. Academic researchers, civil society and private sector actors who are interested in the field are also welcome to attend.

Note that the first session will be presented in Chinese with simultaneous English interpretation. Sessions 2 and 3 will be presented in English, with simultaneous Chinese and Korean interpretation.
