PASCAL Perspectives on Ageing Well - Peter Kearns
Good active ageing has been a core theme in PASCAL work on lifelong learning over the last three years. During this time PASCAL work has included the following:
- Towards good active ageing for all: First Report of the PASCAL and PIMA Sig on Learning in Later Life (2018)
- The longevity dimension in inclusion for ageing populations (UIL,2021).
- Towards good active ageing for all (Tsinghua university, Beijing, 2021)
Two of these papers are being published by other organisations. The Longevity Dimension is being included in an UIL publication on Inclusive lifelong learning in cities: Policies and practices for vulnerable groups.
The last paper in the list is being published by Tsingsua university in Beijing in Chinese with other papers from an international conference convene by Tsingua in 2019 on Ageing Well in Public Service Delivery: Policy and Practice. The conference addressed the health and learning issues resulting from China’s ageing population. PASCAL work on ageing well is supported by a number of PASCAL Policy Review papers which are available on the PASCAL website on subjects such as the following.
- Integrating learning cities: health and EcCoWell (http://pobs.cc/lipaj).
- Happiness in learning cities (http://pobs.cc/ljhd2
- Fostering entrepreneurship (http://pobs.cc/1/jhie.
- Learning to be as the core of learning in later life (http://pobs.cc/1jhie.
