UNESCO Institute for Lifelong Learning Bulletin, December 2021
As 2021 comes to a close, I wish to thank all of you for the interest you have shown and the actions you have taken to promote lifelong learning. I would also like to thank the UNESCO Institute for Lifelong Learning’s global partners for their productive alliances over the past 12 months. Together, we have found strong solutions to reinforcing the provision of lifelong learning opportunities for all, despite the challenging environment of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
Looking ahead, 2022 will be an important year for the promotion of lifelong learning and for UIL. Our Institute will celebrate its 70th anniversary; host the Seventh International Conference on Adult Education together with the Government of Morocco in June; welcome once again new cities to our Global Network of Learning Cities; and start working with a new Medium-Term Strategy, which we will share with all of you in January 2022. I look very much forward to engaging closely with many of you for these important initiatives.
I hope you enjoy reading this last issue of the UIL Bulletin for 2021 and, above all, I wish you a peaceful and happy holiday season!
Wishing you a good read!
