May I hereby invite you to the 5th International Learning City-Region Talks into Pécs, Hungary. This special is organised by MELLearN – Hungarian Universities LLL Network, ASEM LLL RN6, the University of Pécs and the Learning City-Region Forum of Pécs in association with the Municipality of Pécs and EAEA.
You are warmly invited to join a panel of speakers from Cork and Limerick (Republic of Ireland), Wyndham (Australia) and Durban (South Africa) – members of the UNESCO Global Network of Learning Cities and the PASCAL International Observatory’s Learning Cities Networks – as they share over 28 years collective experiences of hosting Learning Festivals.
At the last PIMA committee meeting we discussed plans for the years 2024/25, which transpired through the group discussion in the Annual General Meeting. One area to work on with PIMA members and friends will be the role of Higher Education (HE) supporting Adult Learning and Education (ALE). It seems to be close to the heart and interest of colleagues, and at the same time an important area that needs follow-up after the UNESCO World Conference on Higher Education as well as CONFINTEA VII.
We've receieved some early photos from the 17th PASCAL Conference taking place in Taipei. Looking great, the stage featured in the photos includes the Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Taipei, current/former ministers of Education, as well as Josef Konvitz, Honorary Professor of Education at the University of Glasgow with them.
