Marketing Cities for Investment hosted by Prof Zhechev

Prof Zhechev visited the University of Johannesburg and PASCAL (Africa) from the 21 to the 26 of August 2023.

Prof Vladimir Zhechev has earned his Ph.D. in Marketing (Brand Management) and currently holds the position of Head of the Department of Marketing and Erasmus+ institutional coordinator at UE-Varna (Bulgaria). He has worked as a consultant at GMSE (General Motors Southeast Europe) and has successfully completed over 10 European projects in the fields of: higher education, hospitality management, branding, marketing, student mobility, and others.

University of Glasgow delegation visits University of Duhok, Kurdistan Region, Iraq

We are very pleased that eight representatives from the University of Glasgow were able to visit the University of Duhok in May 2023 under the aegis of Erasmus+ Institutional Mobility Programme. The delegation was led by Michael Osborne, Professor of Adult and Lifelong Learning, Director of CR&DALL (School of Education) and Director of PASCAL Europe, and also included Qammar Abbasi, Professor of Electronic & Nanoscale Engineering, Brian Barrett, Reader in Environmental Remote Sensing (School of Geographical & Earth Sciences), John Davies, Research Fellow and Associate Director of Arts Lab (College of Arts), Muhammad Imran, Professor of Communication Systems/Dean Transnational Engineering Education, Mary Ryan, International Development Research Manager (Research & Innovation Services),  Yulia Nesterova, Lecturer in International and Comparative Education (School of Education) and Kirstie Wild, Head of Research and Operations Strategy (College of Arts).

PIMA's latest Bulletin

The opening paragraph of the PIMA Bulletin for January 2023 states: Ethical adult educators cannot continue to provide the same old curricula as if the very existence of the planet were not in peril: we have a “response-ability” (Sterling and Martin, 2019) to contribute to the struggle for climate justice.

It is with much sadness that Diane Tabbagh, Coordinator Learning Community, Wyndham City Council and Chair of The Global Learning Festival (GLF) Working Committee, reported that Fatma Dodurka, Coordinator of the UNESCO Learning City Hatay project Türkiye, and coordinator of "Be the Voice of Girls" was amongst the victims of the devastating earthquakes in Turkey.
