The next meeting or the Urban-Rural Learning Initiative LCN will feature a presentation by Professor Barry Golding about diversifying the Men's Sheds movement. Barry will speak at the commencement of our meeting and others are welcome to join. 

The presentation will be during the first part of the meeting, followed by opportunities for questions. Details are as follows:

I am pleased to share with you in this newsletter the Medium-Term Strategy 2022–2029 of the UNESCO Institute for Lifelong Learning (UIL). Finalized at the midpoint of the Education 2030 Agenda, the strategy underlines the role of lifelong learning for meeting the UN Sustainable Development Goals and explains how UIL will further strengthen the capacities of Member States to build effective and inclusive lifelong learning policies and systems.

ALCN Ripples Newsletter - January/February 2022

In this newsletter, we welcome Benita Parsons and the City of Port Adelaide Enfield and Caroline Jones and the City of Canning to our network. We also welcome Dr Donna Goldie, Townsville City Council, and farewell Judith Jensen, who worked tirelessly promoting Townsville’s learning community with PASCAL and ALCN for many years. Over the last eighteen months PIMA (PASCAL International Members Association), in collaboration with the Canadian Association for Studies in Adult Education (CASAE), Adult Learning Australia (ALA) and Standing Conference on University Teaching and Research in Education of Adults (SCUTREA), has led a series of Climate Justice and Adult Learning and Education (ALE) webinars and has produced a special edition of the its PIMA Bulletin 39 (Nov 21) which captures climate justice themes and gives examples.  With recurrent intensified climate events, yet no apparent sense of urgency in many regions, we wish to deepen the dialogue and educational actions.

This project incorporates many partners from across various sectors across the world in a project support hope and unity during these times of uncertainty.
